In the reimagined Battlestar Galactica the design of the Cylon Basestar was completely reimagined. The new Basestar was an organic spaceship that was as much a being as a vehicle. It was controlled by a hybrid that could perceive things outside normal reality. The new version was designed by Gary Hutzel and Eric Chu, who saw it as more advanced than the human ships. The Eaglemoss model measures 10.25" (26 cm) across.

A prequel to the modern Battlestar Galactica series, Blood & Chrome followed the young William Adama, fresh from graduation, as he joined the crew of the Galactica. The modern Viper is a careful update of McQuarrie's original design that was created for the 2004 reboot of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Writer and producer Ron D. Moore wanted the show to make the show about life on an spaceborne aircraft carrier and the Vipers and their pilots were central to his plans. No Viper pilot was more compelling than Starbuck, who had all the skills and flaws to make her a great pilot, and this version of the model has her call sign on the hull. The model is 10.6" (27 cm) long.

At the end of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY's second season, the crew goes up against a fleet of Section 31 ships. Each of those ships launches dozens of remote-control, drone fighters that are docked in an outer framework around the hull. All the Section 31 ships were designed by Ryan Dening, who originally intended to give them pilots. This model of the fighter is just over 6" (15.5 cm) long.
